Important Update: NTI Additional Information Shared with Parents

Please be aware of an important update to the Notice to Improve (NTI) process.

Any “additional information” provided by schools when submitting an NTI request will now be included verbatim in the letter issued to parents. This means that all text entered in this section will be visible to the parent exactly as written.

Schools must therefore ensure that:

  • All wording is appropriate for a parent audience
  • Language is factual, clear, and professional
  • No internal comments, opinions, or sensitive information are included
  • Content reflects what the school would be comfortable sharing directly with the parent

If there is any uncertainty about suitability, schools should review and amend the wording before submitting the request.

This change is effective immediately and applies to all NTI submissions via the MRI portal.
